4 Arrested, $10K in Meth Seized in Harriman Bust
HARRIMAN, Tenn. (WATE) - Four people were arrested in Harriman early Monday morning in what the police department says was one of the largest narcotics cases involving sale and distribution of methamphetamine in recent years.
The Harirman Police Departemnt says around 4:30 a.m., two officers made contact with several people inside a van in the parking lot behind Days Inn, 120 Childs Road. Officers searched the vehicle and found around 14.8 grams of meth, money and drug paraphernalia.
Officers then learned another member of the group was staying in one of the hotel rooms. While interviewing her, officers were told there was a large amount of meth in the room. After obtaining a search warrant, officers found more meth, marijuana, two handguns, drug paraphernalia and $480 in cash. In total, around 124 grams (1/4th pound) of meth was seized, totaling around $10,000 in street value.The following people were arrested:Diana Taylor; 42 - Manufacturing/Sell/Deliver of Scheduled II, Simple Possession,Possessing a Firearm During the Commission/Attempt to Commit a Dangerous Felony.Sarah Vincent; 33 - Manufacturing/Sell/Deliver of Scheduled II, Simple PossessionKatie Guettner; 18 - Manufacturing/Sell/Deliver of Scheduled II, Simple Possession,Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.Tyler Wright; 25 - Manufacturing/Sell/Deliver of Scheduled II, Simple Possession,Possessing a Firearm During the Commission/Attempt to Commit a Dangerous Felony.
