Investigator for Tennessee Public Defender's Office Indicted for Buying Marijuana
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced today that an investigator with the West Tennessee Public Defender's Office for the twenty-fifth District Judicial was indicted on drug charges.
Officials began investigating Brent Chunn on February 13 for his involvement in the purchase of marijuana. According to the TBI, information revealed during the investigation showed that Chunn had been buying marijuana from an individual known to law enforcement to be "involved in the sale of illicit drugs."
The Tipton County Grand Jury indicted Chunn with 28 counts of simple possession or casual exchange of a schedule VI drug and one count of tampering with evidence. Chunn was arrested on Wednesday and booked into Tipton County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
